LG Launches Short-Throw 4K UHD ‘ProBeam’ Laser Projector With webOS Smart Platform

LG Business Solutions USA announced the launch of the new LG ProBeam BU53RG short-throw 4K UHD projector as a replacement to the popular LG ProBeam BU53PST projector. The new ProBeam BU53RG includes webOS 6.0 Signage, a powerful web-based digital signage platform that has advanced display features including support for streamlined tools to tie into a larger webOS digital signage network. Like its predecessor, the ProBeam BU53RG offers features and capabilities that make it ideal for a range of applications from corporate meeting rooms to golf simulators to entertainment destinations.

With the ability to display a large high-resolution image in tight spaces, thanks to its 0.94 to 1.14 throw ratio, the new ProBeam BU53RG is a multi-function powerhouse. Its 3840×2160 4K UHD resolution, 5,000 ANSI lumen brightness, significant lens shift control of 20 percent horizontal and 50 percent vertical, 1.2x zoom capability and support for multiple popular aspect ratios (16:9, 16:10, 16:6 and 21:9) make the projector an optimal choice at an attractive street price of $3,799.

The new projector also delivers details and text that are super clear thanks to a 3,000,000:1 contrast ratio. The laser is rated to provide up to 20,000 hours of superior performance at full brightness. The ProBeam BU53RG is designed for easy integration with new or existing systems and can also form the center of a single-room solution through its integrated pair of 5W stereo speakers, Bluetooth audio out with sync control, native MiraCast screen sharing capability and HDMI ARC channel for connection to an AV receiver. It includes two HDMI inputs, two USB inputs, one RJ45 port, RS-232C and a 3.5mm audio out port to ensure compatibility with existing peripherals and control systems.
