Now shipping, the 746B is unique, small, and easy to install in a variety of environments, such as underground burial, pole mount, wall mount, or wire suspension.
“The 746B’s all-plastic housing is made from an ABS and poly-carbonate (PC) blend with UV inhibitors to ensure a long service life in a variety of outdoor conditions and industrial environments,” explained Sean Rothermel, Platinum Tools product manager. “It will allow you to reliably splice, repair, and extend cables indoors and outdoors by supporting direct burial, exposure to water, and exposure to UV.”
Additional features and specifications of the 746B include:

- Removable easy-to-splice internal fiber tray
- Supports standard fiber adapters, fiber couplers, keystones, and barrel-style couplers
