Platinum Tools® Launches New Lineman’s Pliers

Now Shipping with a New Look On a Classic Design, the 6-Inch & 8.5-Inch Models with Molded Comfort Grip Handle are Perfect for Easily Gripping, Twisting, Bending, and Cutting Wire & Cable

NEWBURY PARK, Calif., January 27, 2016 – Platinum Tools(R)(www.platinumtools.com), the leader in solutions for the preparation, installation, hand termination and testing of wire and cable, is proud to announce the launch of the new 6-inch (p/n # 12206C) and 8.5-inch (p/n # 12201C) Lineman’s Pliers. The 8.5-inch (MSRP: $20.95) and 6-inch (MSRP: $18.95) models are now shipping.

“The new Platinum Tools Lineman’s Pliers are a fresh take on a classic design,” said Lee Sachs, Platinum Tools, Inc. president and general manager. “Designed for gripping, twisting, bending and cutting wire and cable, the two-tone (TPR) molded comfort grip handle helps make any job a breeze.”

Both sizes feature a 6140CrV drop forged carbon alloy steel body with a hardness level of 45 ±3 and a blade hardness of 58-61 to ensure a clean cut for years to come. With a polished finish, the tool has both great functionality and looks.

“The 6-inch version is the miniature version of its 8.5-inch big brother, but the compact smaller design allows it to get into places the larger Lineman’s Pliers won’t fit,” added Sachs. “Put both of these in your tool belt or box and you have the perfect one-two punch for any job.”
