Company Quote:

“Network integration and mobile device compatibly are being offered for the first time in the whiteboard industry with the new N-20 Copyboard and C-20 CaptureBoard series. These powerful new features are sure to change the way people have meetings and share information,” said Mike Bluhm, national sales manager for PLUS Corporation of America. “In addition to these advanced models, PLUS will be showing the economical M-17 series, positioned to be the most affordable line of black-and-white copyboards on the market. A number of other improvements have been made to all our new boards, including faster scan times, lower power consumption, and a cleaner, thinner design — making PLUS boards the slimmest in the industry.”

New PLUS Electronic Whiteboard Line:

N-20 and M-17 Copyboards

The PLUS N-20’s industry-first network function allows users to connect the copyboard to a network via an Ethernet cable. Meeting notes written on the board can be saved as image files to the N-20’s internal memory or to an FTP server. Users can then access the meeting notes conveniently through their network-connected computer. Files saved to the N-20’s internal memory are accessible even when the copyboard is in standby mode.

The N-20’s smartphone integration marks another industry first. Using the company’s MTG Pocket app (meeting pocket application), meeting attendees are able to perform the “scan” function of the board from their iPhone(R), iPod touch(R), and iPad(R) — and soon on Android(TM) smartphones — and then preview and save the image of the scanned meeting notes to their device’s memory, or to any device at the meeting that has the MTG Pocket app installed. Furthermore, the app allows users to record audio and video during meetings. Scanned notes and recordings are all conveniently organized in one folder on the user’s device.

With improved scanning times of as fast as 15 seconds, content written on the N-20 copyboards can be saved quickly to a USB memory stick, to a connected computer, or printed via an optional on-board printer. Employees of any technical skill level will find the N-20 easy to operate. The copyboard features a simple push-button interface and built-in software for connecting to a PC or Mac(R).

For those businesses that may not benefit from the N-20’s advanced features, the industry’s most affordable black-and-white copyboards, the M-17 series, is an economical option for improving the meeting experience. Offering the same thin, light-weight design and simple push-button interface of the N-20, the M-17 provides a clean, stylish look to complement any meeting space. Black-and-white copies of meeting notes can be saved to a USB memory stick or a connected computer. When connected to a compatible inkjet printer, the M-17 provides black-and-white copies of the scanned meeting notes.

C-20 CaptureBoard(TM)

The unique surface of the PLUS C-20 CaptureBoard(TM) has the properties of both a projection screen and a dry-erase board. Users can project an image on the screen with minimal reflection or glare, while attendees can contribute ideas by adding comments and notes either on top or along the side of the image. When connected to a Windows(R)-based computer via a USB cable, the C-20’s easy-to-use software allows users to save the projected image and written notes together as a single image file (JPG, PNG, or PDF). The C-20 is the first CaptureBoard with the ability to print the combined image directly to the optional on-board color printer.

When not being used with a projected image, the CaptureBoard can also serve as an electronic copyboard. With the push of a button, users can quickly save their hand-written notes to a USB memory stick, a USB-connected PC or Mac(R) computer with no software necessary, or print out their notes via an optional on-board printer.

Advanced network features are available with the C-20 when used as a copyboard. Users can save data to the board’s internal memory or to an FTP server. The data can then be accessed via any network-connected computer. When saved to the C-20’s internal memory, the image files are accessible even when the board is in standby mode.

Industry-first mobile device features are also available when the C-20 is used as a copyboard. PLUS’ smartphone application — MTG Pocket app — lets attendees scan the board’s written notes using their iPhone(R), iPod touch(R), or iPad(R), with support for Android(TM) smartphones coming soon. The image files can then be previewed and saved to the device’s memory, or to any device at the meeting that has the MTG Pocket app installed. The application also allows users to record audio and video during the meeting. Scanned notes and recordings are all conveniently organized in one folder on the user’s device.
