Production begins on new Acurus ACT 4 11.3 Pre-amp Processor featuring Dolby Atmos Sound

Indy Audio Labs, LLC, owners of the high-performance American-made audio brands, Acurus and Aragon, announced commencement of production this month of their state-of-the-art new Acurus ACT 4 pre-amp processor.  The ACT 4 features a number of cutting-edge new technologies including Dolby Atmos. The latest offering from renowned brand Acurus, the ACT 4 combines rugged, USA-made construction, high-end, pristine sonic performance, and ultimate user control.

Dolby Atmos® delivers captivating sound that places and moves audio anywhere in the room, including overhead, to bring entertainment alive all around the audience. Whether you are listening to music, movies, television shows or playing your favorite video games, Dolby Atmos delivers the full impact of the entertainment experience.  According to Indy Audio Labs’ CEO, Rick Santiago, “With Dolby Atmos, our customers can now experience a breathtaking sound field – immersive sound that’s reproduced by the ACT 4 with the extreme detail and clarity that Acurus electronics are so well known for.”

The new ACT 4 hardware platform from Indy Audio Labs features a powerful array of Digital Signal Processors that constantly monitor incoming signal formats. With its unique SMART AUTO mode, the ACT 4 applies the best possible processing for the source signal, maximizing use of all available loudspeakers including any immersive surround units overhead. Indy Audio Labs’ proprietary web control technology is also built-in, simplifying remote audio adjustments, configuration and setup on modern mobile devices, tablet PCs and 3rd-party control systems. A rich, full-color 7” touch sensitive front panel interface greatly reduces setup time and headaches versus traditional character displays or on-screen menus. There is even a built-in sensor that automatically adjusts display brightness for ambient lighting conditions. The net result is perhaps the simplest to use, most powerful AV processing platform on the market today.

Indy Audio Labs, along with market-leading manufacturers James Loudspeakers, Klipsch and Monitor Audio, will be demonstrate the ACT 4 and other Acurus products through live Dolby Atmos sound demos at CEDIA EXPO 2015 in Dallas TX on October 15-17th. Indy Audio Labs is exhibiting in booth 1520.

The Acurus ACT 4 is available for order now through authorized Acurus dealers and distributors around the world. Suggested US retail price is $8,499.
