Oxford, UK – August 27, 2026 – Solid State Logic (SSL) today announces the release of O-Series V2.0, a major software update for its groundbreaking Oracle Future Analogue™ production console. Building on the revolutionary Instant Recall capabilities that are redefining analogue workflow, O-Series V2.0 delivers powerful new tools for session compatibility, automation, Instant Recall management and workflow efficiency, while establishing complete project compatibility between Oracle and the recently launched Odyssey flagship console.
Designed to further enhance the Future Analogue workflow, O-Series V2.0 reinforces SSL’s vision of combining the sonic excellence, creativity and tactile experience of large-format analogue production with the speed, flexibility and repeatability demanded by modern music creation.
“Future Analogue has always been about removing the compromises that traditionally separated analogue sound from ITB workflow,” said Niall Feldman, Director of Special Projects at SSL. “O-Series V2.0 represents the first of many major steps forward in that vision. Whether you’re moving between Oracle and Odyssey systems, automating console parameters directly from your DAW, or creating personalised processing presets, this release enables engineers to work faster, more creatively and with greater confidence than ever before.”

One Project. Any Future Analogue Console.
At the heart of O-Series V2.0 is complete project compatibility between Oracle and Odyssey, creating a unified workflow across the Future Analogue ecosystem. Projects created on an Odyssey console can now be opened, viewed, edited and resaved directly on any Oracle system, regardless of channel count differences between the consoles. Even parameters associated with Odyssey-exclusive features, including dynamics processing and low-pass filters, remain fully intact when projects are transferred and edited on Oracle. For multi-room facilities, educational institutions and commercial studios operating multiple Future Analogue systems, O-Series V2.0 creates an unprecedented level of session portability. Engineers can move seamlessly between studios without rebuilding console settings, while facilities can deploy different console configurations according to room size, application and budget, all while maintaining a common project environment. The result is an analogue production platform that offers the flexibility traditionally associated with software-based workflows, without sacrificing the sound and experience of a flagship SSL console.

O-Motion™ – DAW-Based Automation
O-Series V2.0 introduces O-Motion™, SSL’s new DAW plug-in-based automation system, extending the relationship between the console and the digital production environment. Integrated directly within the user’s DAW session, O-Motion allows console parameter movements to be recorded, edited and replayed using familiar automation workflows in platforms such as Pro Tools and Logic Pro. Engineers can automate large and small faders, pans, cuts, inserts, EQ sections, filters, dynamics and bus controls directly from the DAW while retaining the experience and sonic advantages of analogue mixing. Unlike traditional console automation systems, O-Motion stores automation data within DAW automation playlists and lanes, enabling users to copy, edit and manipulate console moves using the same workflows they already rely on for software instruments and plug-ins. By eliminating barriers between analogue hardware and modern production tools, O-Motion enables engineers to integrate analogue mixing more deeply into contemporary workflows than ever before.
Instant Recall Becomes Even More Powerful
Snapshot functionality has been a core element of the Future Analogue concept since Oracle’s introduction. O-Series V2.0 expands these capabilities with the addition of Snapshot Filters, providing engineers with far greater control over what information is stored and recalled. Individual channels, processing sections or parameter groups can now be included or excluded from Snapshot operations, allowing users to compare alternative mix approaches, preserve processing choices across song sections, or isolate specific creative decisions without affecting the wider mix. Whether evaluating alternate chorus balances, preserving carefully crafted EQ settings, or managing client revision requests, Snapshot Filters transform Instant Recall into an even more flexible creative tool.

Personalised Workflow, Anywhere
O-Series V2.0 introduces Channel Presets, enabling engineers to capture and store favourite console settings for Instant Recall across future sessions. Users can save settings for EQ, Dynamics, Input and Filter sections, Bus Sends, Faders and Processing Order directly from O-Control™, building personalised libraries of favourite vocal chains, drum processing setups, mix-bus starting points and more. Because preset files are stored independently from Project files, engineers can carry their preferred workflows between Oracle and Odyssey systems, studios and facilities. For freelance engineers, producers and mixers, Channel Presets offer a new level of consistency, allowing trusted processing approaches to remain instantly accessible regardless of location.
Enhanced Visualisation
O-Series V2.0 also introduces several new workflow enhancements inspired by everyday studio operation. TouchView™ provides instant visual feedback for channel processing. As users interact with console controls, relevant processing sections automatically appear on display screens above the channel strip, enabling faster adjustment and easier visual monitoring during busy sessions. The new O-Verview window provides a comprehensive console-wide display of channel metering, fader positions, solos and cuts in a single screen. Ideal for tracking sessions and large-format productions, it gives engineers and assistants immediate access to essential operational information across the entire console.

The Future Analogue Journey Continues
With O-Series V2.0, SSL continues to demonstrate that Future Analogue is more than a console architecture. It is an evolving production platform designed to grow alongside the needs of artists, producers, engineers and studio facilities. O-Series V2.0 further expands what’s possible in professional analogue production while delivering continued value on customer investment for years to come.
