Screen Innovations (SI) introduces KAOS™ 360 Rear-Pro Projection Screen, combining its proprietary dual-sided 360° optic with the rugged KAOS™ Onyx™ Retention System to create the industry’s most durable dual-sided motorized outdoor rear-projection screen, delivering exceptional image stability and reliable performance in demanding outdoor environments.
SI has offered dual-sided outdoor projection since the introduction of its 360° optic with Solo 3, where dealers immediately recognized the advantage: one projector and one screen could do what previously required two of each. Seating no longer had to be planned around the screen. Guests on the patio, at the pool, or across the lawn could enjoy the same bright, uniform image from opposite sides of the screen.
There was just one challenge: Air movement. Rear projection demands an exceptionally flat screen surface to maintain focus and image integrity, and even moderate breezes could compromise the viewing experience.
The SI KAOS™ was engineered to solve that challenge. Its Onyx™ Retention System keeps the screen surface exceptionally flat, delivering up to 3X greater air movement capability than conventional outdoor projection screens while supporting screen sizes up to 24 feet wide—territory no motorized outdoor rear-projection system has reached before. The result is dual-sided outdoor rear projection that continues performing in conditions that stop conventional systems.
SI’s proprietary 360° optic uses advanced light-diffusing particles embedded within the projection surface to distribute projected light evenly in every direction, producing bright, uniform, hot-spot-free images on both sides of the screen across a 160-degree viewing cone. When the entertainment ends, KAOS™ disappears.
