TAG Takes Home Future’s Best of Show at IBC 2022 for Media Control System with Bridge Technology in TVBEurope Category
Amsterdam – September 26, 2022 — TAG Video Systems has taken home Future’s Best of Show at IBC 2022 award in the TVBEurope category for its Media Control System (MCS) with Bridge Technology. The award was presented to TAG, the leader in software-based IP end-to-end monitoring, deep probing, logging, and real time visualization solutions, on September 11 in the RAI, Amsterdam, where over 1000 exhibitors and 37,000+ attendees from 170 countries gathered for IBC2022.
“We are honored that TVBEurope identified our MCS with Bridge technology as a Best of Show award winner,” said Kevin Joyce, TAG’s Zer0 Friction Officer. “The MCS embodies qualities and characteristics that not only keep customers current with the pace of change in technology, but also reduces complexity for users, improves performance and transforms the way they achieve success through their business strategies. We are delighted these capabilities were recognized and the MCS was rewarded for innovation and excellence in engineering.”
TAG’s MCS is the newest layer of the Company’s Realtime Media Performance (RMP) Platform, a 100% IP, 100% software, multi-level, open-source solution that monitors, aggregates, manages and utilizes data-driven viewer analytics to provide users with the insight required to build performant linear media systems. The MCS serves as an aggregation engine, system manager and orchestrator for data collected by the platform. Using an open-source paradigm, the MCS exposes every piece of data probed and monitored to third-party analytic and visualization applications enabling the information to be used for forensic or predictive analysis to design a precise and pristine viewer experience leading to increased consumption, elevated customer engagement, heightened loyalty and improved business enablement.
The MCS has now been enhanced with TAG’s Bridge technology. Powered by the MCS, TAG’s Bridge Technology allows the MCS to talk to other MCS’s providing users with a super-efficient and economical way of replicating signals and transferring streams. Bridge Technology removes the complexity of routing the same stream to diverse locations with an ultra-efficient architecture enabling an operator to receive a source once – including video, audio and metadata, and display it directly on any TAG system, anywhere, regardless of input source, size or format. Once the stream is ingested, the TAG Bridge automatically optimizes the sizing, format and delivery protocol to fit any configuration of multiple recipients. Compute resources are drastically reduced, and a minimum amount of network bandwidth is consumed, freeing up capacity for the customer.
