Smith elevated to Global Vice President, Kwok elevated to Asia Pacific Director

Matthew J. Smith, who previously served as Director, has been promoted to Vice President of Global Human Resources. He will oversee all aspects of HR including talent and organizational development, employee relations and recruiting efforts worldwide. David Kwok, who previously served as Manager, has been promoted to Director of Human Resources for the Asia Pacific region. He will have responsibility for employee recruitment, retention and relations throughout APAC. Mr. Smith and Mr. Kwok are under the strategic direction of Verrex President & CEO, Thomas Berry Jr.

Matthew J. Smith joined Verrex as Director of Human Resources in 2008 with over 20 years of experience in Human Resources, talent recruitment, development and relations. As Vice President he will focus on global strategic growth, workforce plans and organizational effectiveness. Career highlights include Senior Executive IT Recruitment Consultant for Fortune 100 & 500 companies, Recruiter for Chubb & Son and Human Resources Manager/Recruiter for Braham and Associates. Mr. Smith holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Saint Thomas University and received his Global Professional in Human Resources training from Villanova University. He is an active member in national and local chapters of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM). Mr. Smith is based at the company’s global headquarters in Mountainside, New Jersey.
David Kwok joined Verrex as Asia Pacific Human Resources Manager in 2010 with over 20 years of experience in advanced HR management practices. As Director he will continue to lead the company’s recruitment efforts, talent development and employee relations in regions such as Hong Kong, Singapore and Shanghai. Career highlights include Head of Human Resources Asia Pacific of Ericsson and Regional Human Resources Manager of Microsoft Greater China. Mr. Kwok finished study at Hong Kong Polytechnic University with a professional certificate in Human Resources and attained a Business Study at Lingnan University in Hong Kong. He is a professional member of the Hong Kong Institute of Human Resource Management. Mr. Kwok is based at the company’s Asia Pacific headquarters in Kowloon Bay, Hong Kong.
