Viz Artist 4.2 Free Edition and Viz Artist in Residence program debut

Vizrt, the world’s leading provider of software-defined visual storytelling solutions (#SDVS®) for media content creators, today announced the free edition of Viz Artist 4.2, the real-time 3D graphics design tool that unleashes the creative power of the world’s top broadcasters and storytellers. Also launching today is the Viz Artist in Residence program, initiating the search for the world’s greatest Viz Artist designer.

Vizrt’s software ecosystem for graphics is used by nearly every major media organization in the world including CNN, CBS, NBC, Fox, Sky UK, Al Jazeera, ZDF, Media Corp, and many more. Within these Vizrt broadcast workflows, using Viz Artist is an essential skill. Viz Artist 4.2 works together with Viz Engine to deliver photorealistic and data-driven real-time graphics to the entire live broadcast ecosystem. All scenes created with the free version of Viz Artist 4.2 are fully compatible with the commercial versions that are offered with Viz Engine.

Viz Artist seamlessly integrates with other leading Vizrt graphics solutions, available through recently announced Flexible Access plans, that dial down complexity so customers can focus on their creativity and storytelling.

Viz Artist in Residence program

In conjunction with the availability of the free edition of Viz Artist is the unveiling of the inaugural Viz Artist in Residence program. Always looking to nurture and showcase creative talent in the industry it serves, Vizrt is delighted to initiate the world’s biggest search for the brightest software-defined visual storytelling creative talent.

“Working with the passionate people who are at the forefront of live production graphics innovation, the winner of the Viz Artist In Residence program will be provided with unparalleled opportunities and the support required to take their talents, skills, and career to new heights,” said Steve Wind-Mozley, Chief Marketing Officer of the Vizrt Group. “Our winner will be the creative who impresses our panel of expert judges the most, with their understanding of scene architecture, creative flair, storytelling craft, use of data integration and workflow experience.”

Entrants will be chosen from resumes and portfolio samples by a panel of industry experts from the world’s top broadcasters. Finalists will then be asked to create a data-driven virtual set scene showcasing the power of Viz Artist. The winner will be offered a 12 month Viz Artist residency, a six-figure USD pay prize, mentoring, coaching and support and more.  Four runners up will receive USD $15,000 Vizrt Flexible Access credits and more.
