“We want to provide a link between the education that takes place in the meeting rooms and the many products on the show floor. We want to show how a product can be applied in new situations.”

The NSCA proudly announces the addition of Dave Hosbach to its staff as director of event operations. He is setting new goals and implementing exciting changes for Expo 2002.

“We’re glad to have Dave on the NSCA team,” said Chuck Wilson, NSCA executive director. “His enthusiasm and energy, coupled with his extensive experience in the industry, make him a real asset to the association.”

Prior to joining the NSCA staff, Dave worked with RP Sales, a pro sound rep firm based in Farmington Hills, Michigan, assisting contractors and music retail dealers with technical and design issues. Dave began his career in the professional sound contracting industry in 1985 as a systems installation technician, and later moved into acoustic analysis, system design and sales. In 1995, Dave went to work at Electro-Voice as a market development manager. He was also Electro-Voice’s primary coordinator for tradeshows including NSCA, AES and others, and served on the NSCA Expo planning committee.

Dave’s knowledge and experience will aid him in managing the logistics for Expo 2002. “I’ve worked as a contractor, an exhibitor, a tradeshow coordinator, and I’ve also worked at the rep level,” said Hosbach. “I have pretty good knowledge of what industry professionals need and how [Expo 2002] can benefit them.”

Plan to see some exciting new changes to Expo 2002 education. According to Hosbach, more applications-based education will be offered. New workshops on broadband technologies, security systems and integrating various technologies will be offered right on the show floor. “We want to provide a link between the education that takes place in the meeting rooms and the many products on the show floor. We want to show how a product can be applied in new situations.”

The NSCA Systems Integration Expo™ will continue to be the event of the year for electronic systems professionals who want to network, grow professionally and discover new ways of operating a business more professionally and profitably.
