Bose has revealed their new flagship soundbar. Replacing the Smart Soundbar 900, the Smart Ultra Soundbar includes AI technology in a feature specifically made for boosting dialogue.
Measuring 5.8 cm x 10.7 cm x 104.5 cm, the new model has a tempered glass top, which Bose claims is more effective at preventing impact damage. The company says the Smart Ultra Soundbar was designed with displays over 50 inches in mind. The soundbar features Dolby Atmos, as well as support for eARC, WiFi, AirPlay 2, Bluetooth, Google Assistant, and Alexa, and can be connected to additional rear speakers or subwoofers.

“The Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar put you in the center of your music or movies in an entirely new way. By combining custom arrays, dipole transducers, and low-profile transducers with Bose spatial technologies, it produces a layer of realism no other speaker can duplicate,” says Bose.
The real stand out feature, however, is the new A.I. Dialogue mode. According to Bose, “Using machine learning to listen to millions of content clips, the soundbar automatically adjusts tonal balance, making spoken words easier to hear without losing any impact of immersive sound effects.” In short, this new mode aims to reduce the muddiness of any spoken words, keeping them from getting lost amongst any background noise.
The Smart Ultra Soundbar is available now in a black or white finish for $900.
