Leatherman’s Adapt Kit is a case with a built-in tray for small repairs

The Adapt Kit features a removable silicone tray and plenty of space for your multitools

Leatherman has announced a compact, weatherproof tool case that doubles as a mini-workstation. Named the Adapt Kit, the case measures about 8 x 6 x 4 inches, weighs under a pound, and includes plenty of storage space for multitools and miscellaneous parts, as well as larger items.

The Adapt Kit features seven zipped and open pockets in all, including two side pockets that are sized with multitools in mind. A middle sleeve includes various sizes of webbing loops for anything from charging cables to flashlights and driver bit sets. The outer shell of the case is constructed with 500D recycled nylon, and is lined inside with double-diamond polyester ripstop, ensuring the Adapt Kit is rugged enough for thorough outdoor use.

What makes the Adapt Kit interesting, however, is the inclusion of a silicone work tray that runs the full width of the case. Constructed with tool cleaning or repair in mind, the tray is fully removable, and features a wraparound lip to keep small parts from going anywhere. If you choose to keep the tray in the case for repairs, the Adapt Kit stands upright on its side, providing easy access to tools when working.

The Leatherman is available now for $69.95, and is designed to be compatible with the company’s full range of multitools.
