Samsung and Warner Bros. partner to show off trailers in 8K

Trailers include “Barbie,” “Blue Beetle,” “Dune: Part Two,” “Wonka,” and “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.”

Samsung has announced a partnership with Warner Bros. Pictures to show off trailers for highly anticipated films on 8K screens. The two companies had previously tested consumer interest in 8K content by having the trailer for Creed III shown on 8K screens at over 450 retail stores in the United States and Europe. These trailer screenings created significant enough buzz to warrant a larger endeavor from the two companies. As such, over 65,000 retail stores around the globe will be treated to trailers for upcoming films on Samsung’s 8K Neo QLED screens. Trailers available to watch in all their ultra-high-res glory include “Barbie,” “Blue Beetle,” “Dune: Part Two,” “Wonka,” and “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.”

“This partnership is an exciting step forward for 8K content, showcasing the Neo QLED 8K’s capabilities and getting people excited about seeing films in cinematic quality,” said Cheolgi Kim, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “Collaborating with Warner Bros. allows Samsung to show how ultra-premium TV technology can take their favorite films to a whole new level.”
