Tech Roundup: Furniture and Mounts 2021

The full potential available in modern AV gear can only be reached when the tools are best interfaced with their human operators and this is where tech furniture and mounting devices bring it home. Proper arrangement of displays, speakers, and rack equipment can save a few seconds hundreds of times per day and those saved seconds really add up. At the same time, well-arranged and secured items run cooler and are faster to maintain and upgrade. The tech furniture and mounting hardware shown here illustrates practical solutions and creates an expert-level environment.

A fiber connection right in the floor is now available with the ACE Backstage 154SLBK Stage Pocket. ACE teamed up with Neutrik to design this item that supports the ANSI recommended bend radius for opticalCon cable and allows it to exit through a hinged flap and lie flat on the floor. The load-tested solid steel lid can hold up to 750lbs. without damage to the fiber and an isolated duplex compartment separates high voltage connectivity. A zinc dipped 14 gauge steel back box is sealed in a thick layer of polyurethane to protect the body from corrosion and moisture.

The Altinex PNP417C customizable Pop ‘N Plug Tower is made for wood covered conference tables and it can fit a round, rectangular, or square cutout.
