Meet Music Festival is an annual musical artists competition created by DJ Producer, Luca Guerrieri who is also Founder of Claps Records and DVS Records in Italy. Luca created Meet Music Festival with the goal of giving the opportunity for young talents, DJs, and some not yet established artists to perform in a real professional experience. This year’s two-day event was held in Follonica outdoors at Casello Hydraulico and had 6 sponsors including Red Bull, Sounder, and premium loudspeaker brand, 1 SOUND.
At this year’s Meet Music Festival, there were 4 contests in collaboration with Red Bull, Grey Cat Jazz Festival, Claps Records & Tartara, and Higher Sound & Follsonica that highlighted four different genres of music, from deep house to Hip Hop and Trap. The jury was made up of professionals such as Renato Tanchis (A&R Sony Music) and Pierangelo Mauri (historical music editor) who selected 3 finalists for each of the 4 contests. The 12 finalists performed live at the two-day event. 
1 SOUND, provided a “real deal” system for the live event, having the professionals behind the scenes producing the competition saying, “We are also a little jealous of the finalists who will have the pleasure of performing on our stage with their boxes!”
Mods Art, 1 SOUND’s Italy Distributor delivered the equipment with a technician who set up the audio. For the DJ monitors, was a 1 SOUND Contour System consisting of a Contour CT28 on an Active Tube to stand on top of a SUB12 for either side of the DJ. The CT28 had the Contour Rigging System attached for ease of aiming the top loudspeaker. 1 SOUND’s Contour CT28 was released last summer and is unlike any point source in comparison. This 3-way, loud, super compact, and premium quality sounding loudspeaker caught the attention of professional and global headlining DJs such as Steve Aoki, Tiesto, and Fisher, fast. Providing this upcoming DJ talent at the Meet Music Festival, a system that is cutting-edge and taking trend amongst globally recognized DJs, is another factor in providing the professional experience that Meet Music aims to provide.
For the main sound system, they used a Tower System, consisting of a Tower LCC84 and SUB310 per side. A Tower System was a good choice for the main system as it covered the necessary throw as well as the wide coverage of seats, being that the LCC84 has a 120º wide dispersion.
The winners of the competition receive the opportunity to perform their own music at the Club House, the private part of the historic Tartara in Follonica, one of the most historic Italian discos, and at the official Highersound evening, produced by Follsonica. And the winner of the Pop Dance contest in collaboration with Redbull gets to perform at an important Redbull brand event. Meet Music arranged for all the winners to be supported by the radio circuits of the media group Syndimedia including Full Nation, Music For Italy, and House Club Set for streaming.
