First Annual RIPA International Festival of Sound Announced

Medieval Hill Town in Italy to Host Premier Music Recording and Technology Gathering

Ripatransone, Italy (July 22, 2026)Designed for the interests of the global music production community, the historic medieval hill town of Ripatransone is set to host the first annual Ripa International Festival of Sound from September 24 to 27, 2026. Overlooking the stunning Adriatic Sea, this four-day event is intended to create an immersive, collaborative environment for education, industry development, and international community-building in music recording and technology. Reflecting the immediate global appeal of this unique event, early registration has already attracted participants from nine countries, spanning from Finland to Australia.

Bridging High-Tier Professional Training with Unmatched Local Culture

The festival was conceived by acclaimed American record producer, engineer, and educator Ronan Chris Murphy (Recording Boot Camp retreats), who splits his time between the United States and his second home in Ripatransone. The festival is built upon three core pillars:

  • World-Class Professional Training at Accessible Pricing: Offering top-tier workshops and masterclasses conducted in English by industry veterans for a very accessible pass price of just 100 Euros. Faculty includes Ronan Chris Murphy (King Crimson, Gwar, Assassin’s Creed), Simone Coen (Turangalîla Recording, products for Native Instruments, Ableton, PreSonus), Pepe Gasparini (Apple Certified Trainer for Logic Pro), Mike Lembo (Manager of Tom Petty’s Mudcrutch, and producers for Radiohead, Hole, and the Pixies), Lij Shaw (Host of Recording Studio Rockstars podcast).
  • Cultural Immersion in Le Marche: Providing global attendees an intimate look at the rich heritage, culinary artistry including a pasta making class with a master chef, and a tasting experience featuring award-winning wines of Ripatransone and the wider Marche region. Teatro Luigi Mercantini, a beautiful 200-year-old theater built inside the Palazzo del Podestà (built in 1304).
  • International Community & Professional Networking: Fostering long-term, real-world relationships and peer networks in music technology, breaking down the barriers of digital isolation.

Unprecedented Sponsor Visibility and Social Responsibility

For corporate sponsors, the Ripa International Festival of Sound offers an unmatched marketing and corporate social responsibility (CSR) opportunity. The festival operates as a strictly non-profit event organized entirely by volunteers. Through a special partnership, the local municipality (Comune of Ripatransone) is providing the historic event facilities free of charge. Consequently, 100% of all pass sales proceed directly to local cultural organizations, ensuring sponsors achieve remarkable philanthropic alignment and CSR visibility. Early sponsors include FBT Loudspeakers, the Aloud music school, and Chocolate Audio.

Furthermore, Le Marche is the historical heartland of Italy’s music technology industry. The region is the birthplace of renowned legacy brands such as Farfisa, Eko, Elka, Siel, and Crumar, and is home to Castelfidardo, the accordion capital of the world. Sponsoring this festival directly connects modern pro-audio brands with this prestigious heritage and a highly targeted audience of international producers and engineers.  Potential sponsors should inquire here to contact the Festival directly.
