With Focus on Command and Control, Black Box Will Feature Emerald DESKVUE Receiver for Flexible Monitoring of Numerous Systems From Local Console
MUNICH — Nov. 22, 2023 — At PMRExpo 2023, Nov. 28-30 in Cologne, Germany, Black Box® (Hall 8.1, Stand F015) will showcase the Emerald® KVM-over-IP ecosystem addressing secure connectivity and collaboration for command and control rooms in police stations, fire stations and other local and federal government organizations. Black Box will highlight the award-winning Emerald® DESKVUE, a small-form-factor device that enables simple, customizable control and system monitoring at a local console using up to four high-resolution monitors.

The Emerald KVM-over-IP solution enables infinitely scalable access to physical and virtual machines — anywhere and anytime — over an existing IP network, WAN, or even the internet, allowing for optimized control room infrastructure and workflows. Advanced security and low bandwidth consumption give users the ability to incorporate remote users at distributed locations.
Emerald DESKVUE empowers users with exceptionally intuitive user experiences, incomparable system connectivity and customization, and seamless switching between sources — all ideal for control room environments. The Emerald receiver allows a user to access up to 16 different physical or virtual systems simultaneously, replacing multiple receivers and thus reducing system complexity and costs. All systems are displayed as individual windows on up to four 4K or curved (5K) monitors. Users can arrange these windows in any way, as they would on a video wall, but at their desk space. Switching between systems happens automatically in the background as users perform their tasks, removing any need for manual switching commands — or even awareness of system changes. The system itself incorporates the latest security features and supports multisite deployments.
