FOR-A to Feature Variety of 4K Products & New Technology at 50TH Annual Inter BEE Show

Tokyo, Japan –

FOR-A

Company Limited will exhibit a range of its

4K

compatible solutions at this week’s

Inter BEE 2014

show, including: camera, frame rate converter, video switcher, multi viewer and signal processing equipment. The company will also display video archiving, virtual system, camera and file-based technology at Japan’s largest broadcast equipment exhibition. Held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba from November 19-21, this year marks the 50th annual exhibition of Inter BEE. FOR-A will be located in Hall 4, Booth #4208.

One highlight of FOR-A’s booth will be the newest version of the company’s 4K variable frame rate FRC-9000_image_140815camera, the FT-ONE-S. Making its world

debut, this latest version of the FT-ONE is smaller and lighter, allowing for more mobility. The camera links operators optically and via an intercom system, enabling users to shoot from the field with up to one km distance between the unit and base station. The FT-ONE-S also features enhanced resistance to dust and water and the ability to color correct video output live using its 12-axis system. FOR-A’s ZE-ONE

4K extraction

system, which gives users the ability to frame and extract desired 4K image areas for HD replays, will also be introduced in Inter BEE.

Another new camera at the FOR-A’s booth is the FLOVEL HBC-2000 ultra-high sensitivity HbCMOS HBC-2000HDTV unit. FOR-A will also display FLOVEL’s new HBC-3600 ultra-high sensitivity camera, which is capable of near-infrared recording. Both units enable operators to record brilliant colored video in darkness with noise reduction.

One of several products being shown for the first time in Japan is the FRC-9000 4K/HD/SD

frame rate converter

. Ideal for live transmission use, the unit features FOR-A’s enhanced

motion compensation frame rate conversion technology. First introduced at IBC 2014, the FRC-9000 is capable of simultaneously converting two channels of video.

Another Japanese introduction is the HVS-2000 HANABI

video switcher

. The 4K compatible switcher features unique functionality that makes video switching more versatile than ever, including its expanded M/E capabilities, full operator transition control, key customization, and a new easy-to-use panel menu system. The HVS-100/110 video switchers will also be displayed. Also capable of 4K production, the portable video switcher is offered in two models: the HVS-100, which comes with a FT-ONE-S_Pers_141113separate main unit and control panel, and the HVS-110, which features a compact, integrated design.

On the multi viewer front, FOR-A has a variety of new technology, including the 4K compatible MV-4200, MV-42HSA and MV-1620HSA units. All three multi viewers were introduced earlier this year. The MV-4200 is a 2 RU unit that is capable of handling up to 68 inputs and eight channels of output. FOR-A’s MV-42HSA 4K monitoring down converter supports 3G-SDI inputs and 4-input split-screen displays. The 1 R/U MV-1620HSA accepts up to 16 channels of signals for monitoring on up to two screens.

Other products on display include: FOR-A’s URC-4000 4K up converter – a unit that provides powerful, super resolution up-conversion and turns HD video into 4K in real-time. Also at Inter BEE FOR-A’s new FA-505 signal processor will be introduced. The 5-input, 5-output unit features up/down/cross conversion capability on each input as a standard feature. The FA-1010 signal processor will also be on hand. It offers multi-channel routing between sources as well as effective video and audio signal processing for line, relay, reporting, production, editing and delivery applications.
