Cresskill, NJ – April 20, 2026 – Leading motorized window coverings smart-control brand Bond further expands its platform’s outdoor device control capabilities with the launch of the Firefly Aura and Pixel RGBWC (Red, Green, Blue, White, Cool) LED lighting strip controllers. These 12/24VDC in-line Bond-native smart controllers enable users to leverage Bond’s smartphone App, Sidekick for Shades wireless keypad, and Mate Pro outdoor remote to fine-tune common and addressable lighting strips. These, along with Bond’s new indoor and outdoor showroom display kits, can be experienced at IWCE 2026 (Bond booth #809).
LED lighting strips are commonly used to bring ambiance to structures such as pergolas. Operating in the 2.4 GHz WiFi range, Firefly Aura and Pixel bring high-quality color adjustment capabilities to RGBWC LED strips up to 100 watts. Users can adjust hue, saturation, preset colors, and more. Aura can manage a single zone of common lights (PWM 6 wires) whereas Pixel can manage multiple zones of addressable lights. These adjustments can also be made via voice control through the Bond Home App’s integration with virtual assistant platforms like Amazon Alexa, Google, and Josh.ai. And if paired with the Bond Bridge Pro RF-to-WiFi gateway, Aura and Pixel easily integrate with home automation systems.
Mate Pro Smart Outdoor Remote Control Receives Updated Features
Bond’s Mate Pro is an upscale 15-channel hand-held universal remote control that brings smart individual, multi-group, and scheduled control to motorized pergolas, awnings, shutters and more – without requiring a bridge. Available in either silver-on-black or charcoal-on-black, the remote features a high quality 169-dot matrix LED display integrated into a durable wet-rated (IP-44) plastic body that can be left outdoors without worry.
New feature additions to Mate Pro include Hide Channels, Find my Mate, and Link Key Press to Channel Actions. Also now available are colorful silicon bumper options (black, clear, blue, rose) that aid in both locating and protecting Mate Pro. The bumpers can also be custom-branded for Bond partners. A CEDIA (Custom Electronics Design and Installation Association) 2025 Best New Hardware Product finalist, for its unique capabilities, Mate Pro is the only remote of its kind. It can be seen at many Bond partner exhibits across the IWCE 2026 show floor.
Sneak Peek of Bond’s First Indoor and Outdoor Dealer Showroom Display Kits
In response to dealer requests, Bond has created indoor and outdoor showroom display kits ideal for use in showrooms or on the road. The indoor kit consists of the Bond Bridge Pro, Sidekick for Shades Gen5 on-wall wireless keypad, and Mate Pro smart universal hand-held remote control. The outdoor kit includes these and adds Bond’s Breeze Pro ultrasonic wind/rain/sunlight sensor and new Firefly Pixel and Aura lighting controllers. Each of the kits can be powered-up for live demonstration of the different control devices. Both kits will be unveiled at Bond’s exhibit.
