Media Vision adds new strategic roles to fuel its growth in the European conferencing market

This quarter, Media Vision is excited to welcome three new leaders to its team: Marc Gershuny (Global General Manager), Chloë Walford (Head of Marketing), and Sonia Joumad (Project Manager for the audiovisual and broadcast renovation – the UN Strategic Heritage Plan). Although international in profile, the hires will serve to increase the company’s growing presence in the European market.

Marc Gershuny | Global General Manager

In his role as Global General Manager of Media Vision, Marc will be based in Geneva and will largely be responsible for program management of the United Nations Strategic Heritage Plan (SHP). In parallel, he will manage the company’s global broadcast, conference, and audiovisual technology deployment.

Marc brings to the Media Vision team over thirty years of experience in technology, audiovisual, international conferencing, and project management across the industry. Most recently, he served as General Manager of audiovisual support at the World Bank for seven years, during which time he managed a team of thirty-five engineers and technicians, servicing over 6,000 diverse annual events.

For Media Vision and its international network of partners, Marc’s arrival symbolizes a new era in the development of innovative technologies in multilingual conferencing. His addition to the company moreover follows a long and mutual history of admiration.

“I first met Media Vision and their talented team during the United Nations Capital Master Plan renovation project. Not only was I impressed with the technology presented, which was far more versatile and innovative than their competitors’, but I was genuinely struck by the degree to which the company and their manufacturing partner, TAIDEN, were willing to go to create custom solutions to compliment the strict and often arcane workflow of the UN’s Conference Operations.

“Years later, I would move on to managing conferencing at the World Bank, and again found Media Vision working right alongside us to create noticeably forward-thinking and innovative solutions for an organization that was never satisfied with yesterday’s technology. Media Vision was not only a company that I enjoyed working with, but they truly distinguished themselves in their commitment to supporting the missions of the organizations we clearly both loved serving.”

Chloë Walford | Head of Marketing, EU & North America

Chloë joins the Media Vision team from her hometown of London, from where she is responsible for leading the company’s global marketing team and day-to-day activities, from strategy to implementation. This includes amplifying the communication axes through which the brand is already strong, as well as increasing Media Vision’s presence via new digital marketing channels.

Having spent five years in Paris in a leadership role at one of France’s Next40 start-ups, Chloë’s background in branding and acquisition spans both the European and North American markets. Her expertise predominantly lies within direct-to-consumer and product marketing for disruptive new services or technologies. These areas are of particular importance for the launch of the latest product in Media Vision’s portfolio: Virtual Council, a hybrid or remote meeting platform for policy makers.

While new to the audiovisual industry, Chloë brings a fresh perspective on positioning and new opportunities in this sphere. Her arrival comes at a pivotal time for the future of the Media Vision brand.

“It’s exciting to have joined an industry where there is so much innovation taking place. The Media Vision name is synonymous with expertise in the conferencing sector, and I look forward to building on those foundations—alongside our collaborators—while shaping the Media Vision brand of tomorrow.”

Sonia Joumad | Project Manager for the AV and broadcast renovation – UN Strategic Heritage Plan

A senior-level, multilingual project manager, Sonia joins the Media Vision team from Geneva. With ten years of event coordination and communication under her belt, she is ideally placed to oversee the day-to-day management of the AV and broadcast renovation of the United Nations Strategic Heritage Plan.

This is not Sonia’s first experience navigating the complex set-up of an international organization; prior to her arrival at Media Vision, she held a project and events management role for the congress department of Mathys for seven years.

Her wider background covers all aspects of project management and logistics, from handling tenders to on-site delivery. This experience will be crucial in the role that Sonia plays as a stakeholder in the United Nations Strategic Heritage Plan, which stands as Media Vision’s most significant European installation to date.

“This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime project to be managing. Joining the talented group of engineers, coordinators, and integrators with whom Media Vision is working in Geneva has been incredible so far. There is a lot of work ahead of us as we power through the intricacies of the installation, but the team dynamic here is very strong, and I have no doubt that the end result will be well worth the effort.”
