New HIGHlite LASER 4K-UHD Displays an Incredible 12,500 Maintenance-Free Lumens in 4K Ultra High-Definition

Bright 4K-Ultra High-Definition for medium and large screens in demanding environments

ATLANTA, GA – June 12, 2017 – Digital Projection International (DPI), an Emmy® Award-winning manufacturer of high-performance projection and fine-pitch LED video wall systems, introduces a new 4K-UHD option to their high-performance HIGHlite LASER series. Producing a powerful 12,500 lumens and 2,000:1 contrast ratio, the HIGHlite LASER 4K-UHD serves applications that require the highest resolution possible on very large screens or in venues where ambient light is present.

To achieve such high-resolution in a reasonably priced 3-Chip projector, DP selected Texas Instruments’ DLP technology as the engine behind the HIGHlite LASER 4K’s UHD imagery. From large elite home-cinema & entertainment venues to commercial & houses of worship, the HIGHlite LASER 4K will display details, color, and dynamic range that viewers will be impacted by and appreciate. In both controlled environments and venues where ambient light is present, the HIGHlite LASER 4K-UHD projector is engineered to tackle a broad range of applications from auditoriums to engineering design to immersive visualization. Medical imaging is also supported through the projector’s DICOM simulation mode.

With dependability and low maintenance inherent in their design, Digital Projection’s LASER projectors provide the lowest cost of ownership as a result of the laser illumination system’s extensive 20,000-hour life-span. With no lamps to replace or expensive maintenance costs to endure, the end-user saves money over time and never needs to worry about the possibility of lamp failure. Beyond its low cost of ownership and superb dependability benefits, DP’s laser projectors can be oriented in any position for unsurpassed installation flexibility. This allows DPI’s customers to place rich, large-scale imagery in practically any venue and on any projection surface, without sacrificing projector performance, reliability or image quality.

Other features include HDMI 1.4a, HDMI 2.0 for support of 4K-UHD formats and DisplayPort 1.2 to ensure the latest connectivity for high bandwidth 4K content delivery. Other key capabilities include:

  • 12,500 Lumens
  • 4K-UHD Resolution
  • 2,000:1 Contrast Ratio 16:9 Aspect Ratio
