LG’s tiny CineBeam Qube projector is being presented as a ‘stylish art object’

LG's new projector weighs only 3 pounds and features a minimalist design

LG has begun previewing its newest lifestyle projector, which the brand is presenting as a “stylish art object.” While this interpretation may be up for debate, the LG CineBeam Qube (model HU710PB) does boast a unique look and a tiny footprint: it measures 135 x 135 x 80 mm and weighs only 3.28 pounds.

According to LG, the minimalist projector can beam video at 4K UHD measuring up to 120 inches, with a 450,000:1 contrast ratio for sharp and accurate colors, though brightness may be an issue for some as the Qube projects at 500 ANSI lumens. Still, for its size and convenience, its specifications impress. Connectivity includes HDMI eARC and USB-C ports, but as of press time the number of these ports hasn’t been revealed. A 3W mono speaker is present for those who don’t want to fiddle with external speakers, and it even features a built-in rotatable handle for easy transport.

The CineBeam Qube runs LG’s webOS and comes with an Auto Screen Adjustment feature, which the company claims “automatically optimizes image placement and size for a superb viewing experience.”

“Great for spaces large and small, LG CineBeam Qube is a unique lifestyle projector possessing all the qualities consumers look for when choosing a new projection solution,” said YS Lee, vice president and head of the IT business unit of LG Electronics Business Solutions Company. “LG’s upgraded projector lineup offers a range of lifestyle-enriching devices that present outstanding spatial integration and versatility as well as immersive, cinematic viewing experiences.”

No availability date or price has been announced by LG just yet, but we’re keeping our eyes open.
