As reported by Korean newspaper The Elec, LG Display’s Managing Director Yeo Jun-ho announced an expansion to LG’s lineup of OLED panels at last week’s K-Display Business Forum. The expansion includes the addition of a 32-inch, 34-inch and 39-inch panel. With no confirmed release date on these new panel sizes, speculation exists that an announcement will occur during CES 2024.

The company also announced that they will begin manufacturing 30-inch and 77-inch transparent OLED panels to create a full line of transparent options.

“We expect that if 30 inches and 77 inches come out, there will be conditions to use transparent displays not only in commercial but also in general home environments. We have increased the transparent OLED transmittance rate from the previous 40% to 45% this year, and we plan to increase it further in the future,” Yeo Jun-ho said, adding, “In the case of expanding OLED solutions, we’ve been thinking mainly about TVs in the past, but now we’re thinking about medium and transparent OLEDs in line with lifestyle changes.”

Yeo Jun-ho commented that the 77-inch transparent panels will begin mass production at the end of this year.
