President of Walt Disney Imagineering Barbara Bouza announced that she will be vacating her position on social media this weekend.

“It is bittersweet as I wrap up my work as president of Walt Disney Imagineering this month before I create an even bigger impact for the world,” wrote Bouza.

In an Instagram post, Bouza paid tribute to Disney’s Imagineers, stating that they created and delivered “some of the most impactful projects in the history of The Walt Disney Company.”

Bouza reflected on her time as President of Walt Disney of Imagineering, a role that she had held since 2021, while acknowledging hardships that the Imagineering team faced,  including talent reduction, hyper-escalation of projects, and pressure from the company to relocate across the country.

Bouza notes that after her departure, the team will be lead by Chief Creative Officer Bruce Vaughn, who she cites as an “exceptional creative leader.”
