Cooke® Optics is set to wow audiences at EnergaCAMERIMAGE 2023 as it showcases the versatility of its cutting-edge lenses by bridging the gap between virtual and physical spaces. In partnership with Sony and supported by EZTrack, Cooke’s latest full-frame and zoom lenses will combine with brand-new camera technology, LED wall displays, mixed reality sets, and real-time CG pre-visualization tools to reveal the latest possibilities for modern productions.
In addition to Cooke’s Stand in the Market area of the main hub of the Festival at CKK Jordanki, which will present a selection of Cooke’s leading lens ranges including Panchro®/i Classic FF and the new mirrorless SP3, the company will also reprise its exclusive test environment at the historic Hotel 1231 in Torun Old Town.
Cinematographers will have the opportunity to test Cooke’s flagship S8®/i Full Frame prime lenses and Varotal®/i Full Frame zoom lenses with the recently announced Sony BURANO full frame CineAlta camera as well as the Sony VENICE 2, on a mixed reality set. Sony will also provide the latest in LED wall technology with the Crystal LED Verona.
Also on display will be the revolutionary system that allows for the merging of on-set images with CG elements in real-time. Presented on the 1.8x full frame Anamorphic/i and utilizing Cooke’s /i® technology interfaced with EZtrack’s aggregator, this demonstration shows how live, accurate in-camera anamorphic visualization is now viable – giving cinematographers and directors the confidence that a shot has worked, not in days or hours, but instantly.
Cooke will run a series of Open House sessions, please visit Cooke’s website to sign up. You can also register for these sessions through EnergaCAMERIMAGE booking system.
