The 1700 series 5.7-inch wireless and wired touch panels have begun shipping without buttons. Each model ships with a blank front bezel, and buttons are optional. To add buttons, order the Button Bezel Kit (1700C-BTNB-BEZEL), which includes a set of ten push buttons and a replacement front bezel with button holes. Also offered is a No Button retro kit option for existing 1700 touch panels. The Blank Bezel Kit (1700C-BEZEL) provides a buttonless front bezel to convert any existing 1700 touch panel.

For use with all Smart Board interactive white boards and Sympodium interactive lecterns, Smart Board v. 8.1 features the Gallery, an image-management system that groups templates to be used as screen backgrounds with associated images. For instance, a graph paper template for a math lesson can be accompanied by images such as a protractor and rulers. The Gallery can also be used to organize your own templates and images, regardless of the source, into a single location. You can touch the surface of the Smart Board interactive white board to access and control computer-based information.
